Good excellent book on basics of accountancy and investment basics. It touches on Pat Dorsey’s Economic Moats and ties everything nicely together with most of it’s content dedicated to industry specific companies, something that you don’t see in any book or analysis. A must read for anyone interested in the basics of financial analysis or investments.
The strength of this book is if the reader uses Morningstar because the metrics are built around those provided by Morningstar. The 'basics' of investing presented in the early chapters apply to all investors. I borrowed from this book heavily in developing my investment scheme. Loaded with good information, although it points most folks to mutual funds.
