This is probably one of my favourite JAK books since Elizabeth has my favourite heroine traits. She's a woman who recognizes her weaknesses and indulges in them without denial. Jack is thus her perfect foil. He's a man who knows what he wants, knows he'll have to suffer for it, and still manages all of that with dignity. This is JAK at her romance writing best.
Working together Elizabeth and Jack under a contract that Elizabeth ends up regreting they both need to recover Soft Focus, if they going to succeed in establishing the small company, Excalibur, that both invested on or they end up in disaster and backruptcy. Soft Focus a new product, that is going to be revealed in a weeks notice to executives, with a indication of high profitability has to be recovered and Jack makes it his mission to do so...
