ספר חריג ומעניין. נכתב בשנות העשרים על ידי יהודי/ישראלי. אבל ספר חריג לחלוטין בספרות הישראלית. יהודי אינטלקטואלי וחסר כל שמתחתן עם ברונית גויה חסרת כל. היא מתעמרת בו ומנצלת ומשפילה אותו עד שהוא רוצח אותה. סיפור פסיכולוגי של תחילת המאה מלא רוחה של וינה והיה יכול להיכתב על ידי שניצלר. גם אם פחות טוב. העברית ארכאית וסימני הגרמנית ניכרים אבל היא קריאה וקולחת.
