About meThe choice of my user name zerkalo (mirror) is related to the mesmerizing film by Andreï Tarkovsky (Mosfilm, 1974).

I'm a Flemish bibliophile with strong affections to classic music and the arts, but I'm into jazz as well.
Also I'm fond of listening to quality pop & rockmusic until the mid '90ies.

Recently I took up interest in ancient, modern and contemporary Western philosophy. I read economics at Antwerp university (BA & MA Econ - finished 1988), but I've always been more inclined towards the humanities.

I'm as well a film enthousiast with particular interests in selected author cinema and Zeitgeist-documentaries.

This virtual library includes all books which I have read and those I possess and should read. For quite a while, I reflect more thoroughly on new acquisitions, trying to avoid disappointments, never finished or unopened.
