Indispensible, although needs updating now.

Jancis was the first person who publicised something we now all accept without thinking --the prime importance of the grape variety in wine.

The book could do with updating in view ofrecent findings and it could do with reorganising from its location based focus to a variety based layout.

All the same, this is one of the books that fundamentally changed how we think about wine.
