Put together a classics professor, a graduate student of Greek, a jealous wife of another classics professor, a night watchman, the story of the Minotaur, the ancient Greek language, and an upcoming exhibition of rare artifacts from Crete and something is bound to happen. The grad student, Ariadne Pappas goes missing as does a portion of the rare items (and not necessary the most valuable). Professor Antonia Nielson finds the end of the semester to be rather more than she bargained for as she tries to decipher the "clews" of Greek mythology and the happenings around her.

Author Carol Clemeau in The Ariadne Clue has written a classical mystery interwined with university life. An average read.
