This is a story of small station which is deserted and just few dogs and narrator met a girl, who is basket seller, they met a couple of times. And then no one saw her. Narrator try to find her but in vain and after his failed efforts he decided to cross station in hope to find her but will not get down to search her anymore

For over forty-five years Ruskin Bond has been writing stories, novellas, essays, poems and children's books. He has written over 500 short stories and articles. Ruskin Bond grew up in Jamnagar, Dehradun, New Delhi and Shimla. As a young man, he spent four years in the Channel Islands and London. He returned to India in 1955, and has never left show more the country since. His first novel The Room on the Roof received the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize.
