Darkness Everlasting

I'd say like 4.5 stars. I really liked Styx and Darcy together, but I wanted a little more interaction with them. Not sexually, but a little more convo and getting to know each other. Still love this series and Styx is hot and loved reading about him, esp. when he would be with Levet or Viper, had me cracking up. Ms. Ivy definitely knows how to bring your imagination in this vampire world.

This is the third in the Guardian of Eternity series. Darcy is a bartender making her way through the world and just trying to keep up with her bills. She is working as the bartender when the Were's come looking for her. They almost succeed when Styx the Ultimate Hero - The ruler of all Vampires comes to her rescue. He takes her as prisioner in a home he is using that belongs to Viper his friend. As far as being a prisioner she is in the most expensive and beautiful place she has ever stayed in. He treats her like a queen instead of a prisioner.Styx soon discovers that he has developed feelings for Darcy and vows never to let the vamps get her - though he still isn't sure why they want her. Darkness Everlasting is Alexandra Ivy’s third novel in her Guardians of Eternity vampire romance series. I read the series out of order due to B&N not having the eBook but I was able to track down an eBook through a different site and caught up.
Darkness Everlasting follows the story of Styx, the Anasso (the leader of all the vampire clans) and Darcy, a gentle human who doesn’t know she’s Were.
Salvatore, the King of the Weres, has refused to follow the laws of the supernatural world and moved to Chicago, searching for Darcy, who he wants to be his “consort” and have “multiple litters for the pack” who is endangered for extinction. So Salvatore, hatches a plan get Darcy, but not before Styx figures out this plan and kidnaps show more Darcy himself.
This book contained just the right amount of action, mystery, and romance for any paranormal reader to love. The story between Darcy and Styx gets complicated, yet interesting and Darcy surprises us all with a decision she makes. A full recommendation given for this book. show less

This is the third book in the "Guardians of Eternity" series by Alexandra Ivy. The series has gotten better in each book and I look forward to reading book four. The series offers a verity of supernatural creatures, hot and sexy men and strong beautiful women. The world the author creates is believable and adventures.

Styx is a warrior vampire whom we are introduced to in book two “Embrace The Darkness” and we get his story in book three “Darkness Everlasting”. Styx is the newly-appointed Anasso ruler of the vampires and all demons (paranormal creatures). He is trying to keep the peace between vamps and weres. He has learned that the new leader of the weres show more Salvatore has been searching for a women and he hopes he can use this to leverage peace.
Styx is more a warrior, but now that he is Anasso he must become a leader and think about his people first. He has kept himself hidden for so long in the shadows that his lack of modern day knowledge of the human world and women is funny to read. As well as him comeing to the realization that Darcy is his true mate.

Darcy Smith is a very independent woman who had a hard life and has learned to survive on her own. She has always been “different” thou she does not know why and this “different" has made her life more difficult, but she has learned to adapt. Her life is turned upside down when a strange man comes into the bar she works at. She has a feeling he is not safe. When she tries to get away she is captured by Styx and her life becomes entangled in the demon world. I enjoyed her independence and the struggle she goes through trying to come to terms with what she is, the family that she has out there, and her feelings for Styx.

I recommend reading the “Guardians of Eternity” series. The first book is hard to get into, but the series gets better as it goes along. I enjoy the world, characters, humor, romance, and adventure created by Alexandra Ivy.

I was so excited to read Styx story but it fell short! Darcy was just tstl most of the time. I feel this could have been a five star read for me if his mate had been really kick ass! I really don't enjoy when the h fights the attraction so hard. I rather enjoy the story once they get together. I'm not planning to read any further in this series.

Darcy Smith does not know who her family is, she has lived in foster homes and on the street - at the moment she is working as a bar maid in a Goth Club and living in substandard accommodation when she is kidnapped by Styx, the Anasso (leader) of the vampires. He has kidnapped her because he knows the weres are looking for her and he wants her as a bargaining chip but he gets more than her bargained for with Darcy, one of which is the lust that hits him when he is around her.

Darcy gets to meet Salvator Giuliani, the king of weres who is after Darcy as his consort he says, but she is really needed as a breeding machine because the weres are a dying race. She gets to meet her mother Sophia (the mother from hell) and in the end decides show more that her life is with Styx.

This was as good as the rest in this series. show less

The story of Darcy & Styx finding love, challenges, and family made for an enticing and enjoyable read. I highly recommend this series!
