Description
A pastiche of the traditional Sherlock Holmes stories that is a sequel to the author's 1975 novel, A Three-pipe Problem. The story follows Sheridan Haynes, an actor famous for playing Sherlock Holmes in a television series. He is approached by a man claiming to possess a genuine, previously unknown Doyle manuscript, which he wants to sell to Waymark. As Haynes gets involved in the negotiation, two murders occur, seemingly connected to the fights over the manuscript, which might be a forgery.Tags

Sheridan Haynes the actor, doing one of those pay-to-go weekend stints at a country manor, as Holmes. Fine -- we are all going to miss Julian Symons, who died a couple of years ago.
