Great informative book on oil spills in our country. This book can be used for history or science; it goes back to the history of the 1989 Exxon spill, but then also explains how it affects our environment. The pictures and illustrations are wonderful and detailed, and the information explains all about the oil spills and how they get cleaned up and has it has affected the environment.
Held interest of students, easy to understand. Good for graphic organizers and for introducing elements of summary. Would be good use as topic for writing piece, especially letter to congressman or the like.
