Such a short and whimsical listen. I especially love that Neil Gaiman himself is narrating them.
You have three stories and one poem. Each is very creative and very unique. I especially loved the 'The Day I Swapped My Dad For Two Goldfish' story. It was adorable.
They all have some dark tones to them, but honestly that's just how I wanted them to be.

A selection of Neil's children's stories are narrated by himself in this neat audio collection. I enjoyed listening to the stories the way they were meant to be heard and I especially liked the poem "Crazy Hair", which is both surreal and funny.
These are lovely little stories. The child is the center of the universe and the answer to everything, but the stories are fun, imaginative and just a bit twisty. I am now on a quest to own all of Gaiman's audio books, because I could listen to him read the telephone book and it would be good. His voice and inflection are just what is needed to make a story leap into life. There is also a sweet interview of him at the end by his daughter, one of the more intelligent interviews of authors I've heard.
This is a small collection of four children's short stories, apparently specifically made for audio, read – of course – by Gaiman, himself.
It was cute. Less than an hour to listen to all four stories. For an (female) adult, listening to Gaiman is always a bonus.

children's audiobook fiction. Neil Gaiman's reading of the Graveyard book made me a fan of his narrative prowess, and this is another stellar example. Listeners get an extra treat at the end in which Neil is interviewed by his daughter about his writing processes.
A short collection, mostly containing material I've read before (this is some of his children's work). It's a different experience, not having Dave McKean's artwork there, but it does force the brain to pay more attention to the words--which is why I'm not aware that [b:The Wolves in the Walls|22341|The Wolves in the Walls|Neil Gaiman|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1167348857s/22341.jpg|2649] and The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish are not just funny, but hilarious.
Also, there's a 6-minute track at the end, Neil Gaiman being interviewed by his daughter. The content is a little light (did you always know you wanted to be a writer; what's your favorite of your books; etc), but it's very sweet to listen to.

This is one of our family's favorite audiobooks. It's a collection of several of kids' stories read by Gaiman himself. There's lots of humor (especially in The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish) and plenty of creepy (but not too scary) stuff too.
