Description
Adam Malfitano still has nightmares about the night his girlfriend, Mitzi, died. He sees the blood. He sees her in the water. He is a lifeguard, and he can't save her. He wakes up screaming. Even worse, he has begun to see Mitzi while he is awake. He knows it is impossible, but she looks so real. What does she want from him?Tags

A lot of these are pretty cheesy and predictable, but this was a better one. It was surprisingly deep and dealt with the results of trauma and memory loss. Besides the main character's dickish moves to his girlfriend, the author also delved into psychotic rage of another character. True, the chapters end up on the dramatic cliffhangers, but the ending is satisfying (does he ever tell what he found and what happens next?) and it's well done.
Not one of my favorites.
Adam, a beach lifeguard, feels guilty for the death of his girlfriend last summer. His guilt causes him to have hallucinations and he believes he sees her everywhere. And unfortunately his friends aren't of any help either.
I don't understand what the point of having the two different points of view, Sean and Adam, were. Sean's character did not really add a lot to the story. Was disappointed.

Possible Spoiler Alert:
So we're reading a first person account from crazy Adam, which means that we don't know what's going on half the time because he keeps hallucinating. Sean's not much better, and the whole story is hard to follow. It just got annoying.
