When Indians kidnap Charlotte Greenfield from a wagon train, Will Bondurant, Texas Rangers, detours from his trailing of a killer to come to her aid getting knifed in the fight for her. Thus begins their travel across country at first trailing the wagon train and then on their own as he takes her to Oregon. Along the way they run into two men after her, the same Indian band and the killer Will is trailing. Lots of excitement and romance. Good story.
