The case against UFOs and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) has not been put to rest. Although UFOs "officially" did not exist for decades according to the government, reports of sightings continue to be made, and the latest releases from the government and related hearings have surprised the world. While the scientific community has put UFOs out to pasture, the evidence used to dismiss them is rare and unscientific. I support the urge to be more open to exploring the unknown and I really liked the classification system he uses. His critic is interesting. However, the disdain for scientists is palpable and it just hinders his points.

Author Information
Josef Allen Hynek (1910-1986) was an American astronomer, professor, and ufologist. He is best remembered for his UFO research. Hynek acted as scientific advisor to UFO studies undertaken by the US Air Force under three consecutive projects: Project Sign (1947-1949), Project Grudge (1949-1952), and Project Blue Book (1952-1969). In later years, he show more conducted his own independent UFO research, developing the Close Encounter classification system.
