Neat and nasty. I don't think I've particularly ever loved Julian Barnes except for Arthur & George, but this was plenty of gritty fun. It didn't take itself too seriously, but it was satisfyingly grimy. I'll track down the others in the series.
The original where Duffy investigates the soft underbelly of London's Soho. People really are as nasty as you think!!!
First of the four novels featuring ex-copper Duffy, written under a pseudonym by Julian Barnes. Released from literary constraint, he takes us into a sleazy world. Fab! Full review on my blog: http://annabookbel.net/20-books-summer-julian-barnes-only-story-dan-kavanagh-duf...
