An amusing story with some interesting twists and turns. Just as you are certain you know where it is going... it veers again.
A bit of a slow starter though - you may have to jump to the middle in order to get it started.
OK, the plot seemed forced. And one feature, in general, of Our Hero is that she sees what is going on unless the plot requires her to be blind. Also, Our Hero is rational, but irrational things certainly happened (the finding of the treasure) and I think that Wish's brainwashing was pretty completely unbelievable, and what does Our Hero think of that? I also could do without the shocking ugliness at the end.
