The world of Christian apologetics is so vast that it is overwhelming! When the Apostle Peter states that we are to 'be prepared with an answer' the question "To what?" must be asked. ANSWER: With the reason for the hope that we have in the saving works of Jesus Christ. However this brings up the question of why Christianity is right? This is because it says therefore all other contrary views are wrong. This is the overwhelming aspects of Christian apologetics. There is so many fields to deal with!.

The late Dr. Walter Martin has wonderfully covered a large percentage of the waterfront on the realm of the paradigm of Christianity and Competing Worldviews in his book, Kingdom of the Cults. He is respectful and accurate, both factually and show more logically with regards to the worldviews he discusses, as he shows that Jesus Christ is the one true and real God. This is a must have book for everyone's personal and professional library. show less
If you want to know anything about Christianity, this is the place to start. An incredible read, and very tasteful. The Appendix on Seventh-day Adventists is easily the best treatise on that religion in print.
This book provides a very traditional view of cults and alternative religions
Because of his dispensational eschatological views i feel he is weak in his views on Seventh-day Adventisim.
The Kingdom of the Cults equips readers to understand the claims of numerous cults, sects, and religions--including some that masquerade as Christian denominations--contrasting those claims with biblical teaching.
From a protestant evangelical perspective this is one of the most important books on the sectarian movements within and opposing mainstream orthodox Christianity.
