Decide for Yourself: A Theological Workbook (For People Who Are Tired of Being Told What to Believe) by Gordon R. Lewis
I useful guide for new Christians who want a broad overview of major Christian doctrines. Each chapter has an introductory text and then lists numerous passages of the Bible which touch on the topic allowing the read to reach their own conclussions.
For people who are tired of being told what to believe.
I've recommended this book in a general discussion of "Best Books in Systematic Theology": http://douggeivett.wordpress.com/2009/12/07/best-books-in-systematic-theology/
