A natural descendant -and companion - to Szarkowski's "The Photographers's Eye", Shore's book is a great tool for the student and for the photography reader in general. Each concept is described cleraly and shortly and accompanied by significant - and beautiful, and greatly reproduced - pictures. A pleasurable short read, destined to be followed by many re-reads of several parts of the text.
This is an excellent, very short, illustrated essay about how photographers see things, what defines what they see, and why it all works. Just what I was looking for.
