Do you already keep a notebook where you track things that inspire you? Then you probably won’t learn anything new here. I gave it only two stars because I had high hopes of learning something new. If, however, you don’t keep a notebook, this book could be revolutionary for you.
This was helpful! I now want to carry a notebook wherever I go and I feel like now I would know how to use it. I also don’t feel so weird about my desire to write random stuff down. It’s apparently part of the process. Onward!
This is an excellent book to use to spark interesting writing. My 8 year old son, 11 year old daughter, and I are enjoying the light-hearted, inspirational entries.
Great book for targeted at showing students how to start a writers notebook. Also, includes ideas on what to write in your notebook once you start one.
Discusses the various kinds of things to keep in a writer's notebook--seed ideas, mind pictures, lists, memories, samples of other writers' work--and why.
Another great book to read with young writers!
