This account of an Army officer of his tour in Vietnam was written 30 years later, after he retired from active duty. It relies on his and others' memories and on the records to tell of the fearsome time he and his troops had. There are plenty of accounts of fierce fighting. It names lots of names, and is probably more likely to be appreciated by people who were there at the time. I found it more detailed than attention-holding.
