All seven of these stories satisfy and none are draggy. This is tghe best anthollogy of a genre I have yet read (orf can remember). "The Proud Robot" leads off withg a "Confederation of Dunces protagonist who screws everything up because he doesn't stay drunk enough; "The Link is the story of one of our ancestors (according to Darwin) who is different and walks on just two legs; "Adam with no Eve" is a last-man-on-earth story; Asimov's "Nightfall" is a classic, as is Heinlein's "The Roads must ROll," and then we end with the delious pyramid discovery.
