Book description
When she is elevated to peer and takes her place in the House of Lords, exuberant Ida "Jack" Troutbeck finds the dafter aspects of her colleagues hillarious. Not one for formality, she causes some consternation, but nonetheless, pursues her work with vigor. After some animal rights puritans get involved with an anti-hunting bill, an explosion kills several peers. In steps the reluctant sleuth, academic Robert Amiss, who must find who is responsible before more lives are taken.
