Not having read any of the Obernewtyn Chronicles in a couple of years, it took me a bit to get back into the series, but it wasn't too difficult to reconnect with characters and events. Carmody's awesome worldbuilding and complex unfolding prophecy are still engaging and intriguing, and I will definitely be finding the 6th book to see what happens! My only issue was that there were some occasional plot holes and what I saw as minor inconsistencies, but overall, everything was well-developed and well-paced.
Reading this the first time it was ny least favourite. Rereading it in full knowledge of what was to come wasn't very enjoyable but it was nice to refresh my memory, though I was surprised at how much I remember.
It probably has to so with the fact that my favourite book, [b:The Keeping Place|47905|The Keeping Place (The Obernewtyn Chronicles, #4)|Isobelle Carmody|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1194379724s/47905.jpg|3268254], coming right before and my favourite character Dragon taking a side line and not being very present after being the focus.
