Some chapters were compelling analyses of animal rights arguments, and the wide range of contributors was certainly interesting.

But too many chapters became redundant or bogged down in what I felt were irrelevant areas. Animal rights is a complex issue, and the book certainly embraced the nuance, but failed to hold it up and stay interesting. It's possible, Tom Regan has done it, and his absence from this book was noted by me.

I don't know. It was fine, I got about what I expected, but learned less than I was hoping. ( )
