Despite some repetition of style, this was an excellent overview of various spiritual disciplines put into practice. I especially liked the chapters on Prayer, Bible Reading, and Sickness. Would read those again. Could see reading it with Bible w kids, or assigning essays on the essays.
JC Ryle is the man, basically a mere christianity for the 1700's

J. C. Ryle (1816-1900) was the first Bishop of Liverpool and an exemplar of someone of evangelical faith working in a mixed denomination. He first started writing to pay off his fathers debts, and his books have remained in print ever since.
