answers lots of topics, good mix of illustrations and words
This story relates to young readers experiences of moving across vast distances, migration, and settling in a new land. Readers from all backgrounds can also identify with the theme of family life played throughout the book.
This is an information book about the American Pioneers. I used this as in my Pioneer Unit this helped the students relate to the experiences of Laura Ingles Wilder from the "Little House on the Prairie" series.
