Great example of the series. Rogues who made war on the world, plundering others. Accounts of the "golden age of piracy" -- 30 years at the close of the 17th century--to the early 1930's.
Clearly documents the historical fact that North America was a flourishing pirate haven -- the only ports that would fence pirate booty captured from the Spanish mines, the Indian Ocean, the Mogul galleons.
