Very good resource written by one person, O'Neill. At around 450 pages this gives excellent alphabetical and cross referenced sketches of leaders, events and battles. Brief lists for further reading are given as well as websites, index, important dates during the war, museums and historical sites. O'Neill gives very fair assessments, and brief, when many historical works now are revisionist and long winded in tone.
