This kind of made me feel like when I read American Psycho: a bunch of prurient fantasies in the way of any real story examining the human condition... We have here rape with murder, incest, sex with a transsexual, and more including a lengthy imaging of the Manson Family killings from the point of of "Woytek" (like Frykowski). All this in the supposed memoirs of a Zelig-like international rogue and criminal.
Life as a blind date with Charles Manson. Our main character travels about experiencing a series of unlikely adventures and encounters that kept me fascinated. Resembles a sort of psychological spy novel.
A series of vignettes that feel autobiographical portraying a man who uses people to satisfy his own ends.
I wanted to complain that the narrator's story of his life was rather disjointed but then I realized that anyone's life could be viewed that way.
Perhaps the author's dreams, fantasies & erotic adventures. Told in a series of short stories by the same hero/anti-hero. Reminded me somewhat of the works of Guy de Maupassant but very 1970's.
Caution: strong sexual content.
