All pieces in this anthology are by writer who are of native ancestry. Collectively, they represent the United States and Canada, right up to the Arctic Ocean -in other world, all of Turtle Island, as we Native people call North America. Just as our ancestors passed down their teaching, and our powwow dancer preserve our traditions for tomorrow's children, so the aboriginal writers of today are the storytellers of our future who keep our cicle strong by keeping our culture alive.
