I'd never heard of this series by Stine, and it turns out to be pretty fun, especially with the illustrations by Trip Park.
Nine year-old Bernie Bridges is a little sociopath in the making. He lives at the Rotten School, a boarding academy, where he manipulates other kids into bringing him breakfast in bed, competing for prizes he takes, and lying to teachers for him. When one one of the kids shows up with a five hundred dollar watch that plays movies and makes popcorn, Bernie contrives a way to get the watch for himself by suggesting a pie eating contest. Which leads to blueberry barf.

This is the first book of my Rotten School Flashbacks, and my first flashback book I have read! This is a wonderful short story book, that I would recommend to anyone that wants to go back in time and experience new stories or short stories that you want to really read! This book was slow at first but I caught back on when the real plot of the story started. This book is about a blueberry pie eating contest that Bernie B. came up as one of his schemes during his time at Rotten School. I cannot wait to read more of the Rotten School Flashbacks as they bring back the memories!
