A set of short pieces often funny, from "A country that has officially, No vowels!" I found them entertaining, and often informative.
Kishon is the greatest writer of satire. This book tells funny stories about everyday life in Israel. When you read it though, you discover that the anecdotes and problems he describes are universal and there's a little bit of you in almost every one of them. I very much liked the book and highly recommend it to even people who usually never read this type of books.

An Israeli satirist, playwright, film writer, and director, Kishon is best known in the English-speaking world for his feuilletons, or political pamphlets. Born in Budapest, Kishon first began publishing humorous essays there. In 1949 he immigrated to Israel and began writing his columns for the Hebrew daily newspaper Omer and later for the daily show more Ma'ariv and the Jerusalem Post. Kishon is considered Israel's national humorist. He has been awarded the Israeli Nordau Prize, the Herzl Prize for Literature, and the Sokolov Prize for outstanding journalistic achievement.
