Yummiest Love, while a book aimed more for younger children, is more of a book to be read to them as opposed to read by them. Each page pair has 4 lines of text and a picture illustrated to go with the action that is being discussed in the text. It is a very cute book about a bear who loves their cub through all these different situations. It is a great book for a parent to read to their child to remind them of a parent's unconditional love.
Yummiest Love by Lisa McCourt is a book about never-ending love from a parent or guardian. This is a great story that shows the constant love and comfort a parent gives a child. This story is very relevant for young children because, like the young bear, all children are curious and relate to the feelings portrayed in the story. The little bear goes through the phases of being a child, like riding his bike, taking a bath, and wanting to cuddle with his mom. The author also shows that in any circumstance, even when the young bear is being defiant or upset, she still loves him. I think the tone is very warm and loving, which creates a perfect bedtime story. The illustrations are simple but show a lot of expression with the mother bear, show more the young bear, and the emotions of everyday life. This story also uses simple language, so it is easy for children to comprehend and absorb. Overall, this is a great story that gives children the reassurance that they are loved no matter what. show less
This is a beautiful story about a mother bear and her baby bear. She is telling her baby bear about all the things she loves about them.
I love this story because it shows how much mothers love their babies, and how much we love them as they grow and change.
I would use this book to teach about family. i would probably read it during Mother's day, and ask the children to write what they love about their mothers. Then, have them make a card and put what they wrote in the card as a Mother's day present.
This is a book about how a momma bear and baby bear love each other. I would not use this in my classroom because it would not relate to a lesson plan at all. Appropriate for ages K-2.
This book is an encouraging book about a parent's love for their child.
