Just so so, easy to forget, much different for the author, who is successful with traditional romance stories and knows how to weave words together well. There is a distance from the characters which is off putting. The story itself is good enough, but that distance doesn't make the reader care enough to love this book or series.
I loved this book....until I got to the end. To me, the ending didn't seem to match up with the rest of the book, and that took away from the story. Other than that, this was an awesome book!
Rather like a vampiric soap opera, this. It wasn't awful, but there were a few times when I couldn't help but roll my eyes. The greater crime is that this book just wasn't very interesting.
Ugh. I did not like this book. Totally lacked the character development and believable plot lines that I love so much in her other books. Please stick to the Cowboys, Linda! They are what you write best!
Way back in 1996 I was a single woman living in no where Oklahoma working in the local university library. I was on the net and had even met my future husband (though I didn't know that yet) but I still liked to read... a LOT.
I found myself at a little used bookstore and felt like I had hit the jackpot. I couldn't believe the number of books there for soooooo cheap. One gold mine I found were the Valerian books by Linda Lael Miller.
Vampire Romance - just what I needed during those lonely Oklahoma nights.
At the time I had no idea the genre existed, and quickly found that I really did enjoy the subject and the series. Forever and the Night is the first title, followed by For all eternity (1994), Time without end (1995) and Tonight and show more Always (1996).
If you have never heard of Valerian and like vampire romance, try any of these titles! You'll love Valerian too! show less

First of 4 vampire novels called the Valerian series.
2. For All Eternity
3. Time Without End
4. Tonght and Always
The library doesn't have any of these. I can ask for them to look for me. Didn't think I would care for the series but is was extremely intriguing and hope someday I will run across the rest.
