Get back to love is an apt opener for this souvenir book, since it's been almost 2 years since I saw The Beatles' Love in Las Vegas with my BFF. But getting back to love is the entire point of the performance, and the souvenir program does exactly that as well. The show is impossibly complex and virtually unable to be translated to other mediums than the stage-in-the-round, but that doesn't mean that this book isn't absolutely wonderful. Seeing the images of the story combined in truly whimsical compositions (ratherthan just squared/flat pictures) encompassed the material well enough that my mind was easily able to make the leap to reminiscences of the performance. The amaenement of the aerial swing, the dancing sweetheart's letters, the mad-cap destruction of post-War Britain, and the explosion of confetti that I continued to find in my luggage months after returning home. Absolutely wonderful :) ( )
