Me encanto de este libro que no te deja hacer conclusiones ni adelantarte a lo que va a suceder. Siempre hay un giro y algo inesperado. Otra excelente recomendaciĂłn de mi amiga Caro Pi.
Canto Geral tornou-se um clássico não só da literatura hispano-americana mas também da poesia universal do séc. xx, chamado pelo próprio Neruda, em Confesso que Vivi, sua obra memorialística, de? Meu livro mais importante?. Canto Geral é uma obra atípica e representa uma reviravolta na poética de Pablo Neruda. O livro foi escrito em circunstâncias adversas, quando Neruda, por ser membro do Partido Comunista, sofria forte perseguição pela polícia do presidente chileno González Videla, sendo obrigado a transpor a Cordilheira dos Andes e refugiar-se no exterior. Lançado em 1950, o livro teve duas primeiras edições quase idênticas: uma oficial, e pública, no México, e outra, clandestina, no Chile. Canto Geral, obra de show more caráter enciclopédico, reúne os mais variados temas, gêneros e técnicas, dividindo-se em 15 seções e 231 poemas. Pablo Neruda was born Ricardo Eliecer Neftalí Reyes Basoalto in Ferral, Chile on July 12, 1904. In 1923 he sold all of his possessions to finance the publication of his first book, Crepusculario (Twilight), which he published under the pseudonym Pablo Neruda. Veinte Poemas de Amor y una Cancion Desesperada (Twenty Love Poems and a Song of show more Despair), which was published the following year, made him a celebrity and allowed him to stop his studies to devote himself to poetry. His other works include España en el Corazón, Canto General, Las Uvas y el Viento, and Para Nacer He Nacido. He received numerous awards including the World Peace Prize with Paul Robeson and Pablo Picasso in 1950, the Lenin Peace Prize and the Stalin Peace Prize in 1953, and the Nobel Prize for Literature for his poetry in 1971.
