I've read this book so many times I'm pretty sure I've memorized most of it. It is a beautiful, unconventional romance, which effortlessly depicts a woman's life and heart just prior-Elizabethan era.
Love this books about the life of Bess Hardwick, I have re read it only weeks before my first trip to England and can't wait to check out some of the architecture that she talks about and maybe even visit the two houses that she built. Reading this novel inspired me to research her on the internet and find out even more about her story. What an interesting life she led, a true heroine. Thank you Virginia Henley, you did an awesome job!
