This is a follow up from Sarah's Child. Derek is all grown up and a doctor. In the middle of an Oklahoma blizzard he rescues Kathleen and delivers her baby. Things get a bit weird at this point -- the story gets a bit far-fetched, I think. Would you, as a new mother, really move to a new city with a complete stranger?
I feel like Derek got cheated out of a full length novel. Though I can't say I disliked Kathleen, I didn't feel the connection to either character I expected to. This definitely isn't a favorite.
I wanted Derek to have a full length novel.
