Dalden claims to be a barbarian warrior-since Brittany's passion has been running red-hot since she first saw him, the sexy giant can fancy himself anything he pleases! The truth is a very rude awakening-for Dalden is exactly what he claims to be: a warrior to the show more depths of his soul from a place where the women always obey. Intelligent, independent Brittany isn't about to be subservient to any male-not even one who's everything she ever wanted in a lover. But the proud, powerful barbarian is accustomed to fighting for what he wants-and winning. And what her wants most of all . . . is Brittany. show less

I'm not really much into sy-fi or time travel to the future, but I loved this book. It was well written and I really liked the characters.

Hank is Mexican/American, who seeks to buy back the family lands that were stolen fromi him years go, but is intrigued by Samantha. Samantha is a rich spoiled girl who fancies herself in love with a man who ignores (and who we discover isn't into girls! but she doesn't know that!). She uses Hank to try to make Adrien jealous and only succeeds in making Hank want her more. She's a spitfire who can shoot and ride well and also acquires a stalker after she smiled at the man. She's spoiled and often not likeable. The characters had moments of likeability but they were few and far between. Bad behavior all around, didn't even want to finish it.
The third and final book of this trilogy hits close to home. That is, if your home is Earth.Dalden, the twin brother of Shanelle from [b:Keeper of the Heart|386455|Keeper of the Heart (Ly-San-Ter Family, #2)|Johanna Lindsey|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1174356045s/386455.jpg|1416276], and the son of Tedra and Challon from [b:Warrior's Woman|763774|Warrior's Woman (Ly-San-Ter Family, #1)|Johanna Lindsey|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1230766603s/763774.jpg|749856] has always tried to deny his non-warrior half. That denial is put to the test when he meets his lifemate Brittany. Brittany is a carpenter in a small town in California. Not only has she always supported herself, she has done so in a traditionally male profession. She is show more certainly not willing to turn into a submissive female, no matter how deeply she falls in love. This book ties up the Ly-San-Ter family story very nicely. All family members are accounted for. We get to meet Martha again (like she would have allowed herself to be left out of the story.) We even get to see some old villains return.Although the loose ends are all tied up, there is still enough of a story that further sequels are possible. Lindsey sci-fi romance. Not the strongest of the trilogy. Woman doing "a man's job." Man from space. Quick read.

Johanna Lindsey was one of the world's most successful romance authors. She has written over 30 books, of which 54 million copies are in print and have been translated into 12 languages. Lindsey was born with the name Johanna Helen Howard on March 10, 1952. As a young wife and mother, Lindsey became a great fan of romance novels and wrote her show more first book, Captive Bride in 1977, on a whim when she was 25. To the young author's great surprise, it made The New York Times Bestsellers list. Lindsey had found a romance formula that worked. Take any setting past or present, introduce a rascally rakish male and a romantic heroine, let their hearts ignite with passion, lust, and love. Lindsey has something of a cult following, following such titles as "Heart of Thunder", "Hearts Aflame", "A Heart So Wild", and ''Keeper of the Heart". She has loyal fans reading "Glorious Angel" and "Gentle Rogue" and legions of devotees buying her Malory family series. In 2014 her title, Stormy Persuasion, made The New York Times Best Seller List Johanna Lindsey passed away on October 27, 2019 at the age of 67. (Bowker Author Biography) show less
