Description

Paradise Wild A well-born Boston beauty, Corinne Barrows has traveled halfway around the world in search of Jared Burkett -- a dashing rogue and a devil; a honey-tongued charmer who seduced and despoiled her. . .and then abandoned the impetuous lady after awakening a need that only he could satisfy. She has found him on the lush and lovely island of Hawaii. And now Corinne will have the revenge she craves: the total ruin of the blackguard who brought shame and scandal into her life. But show more Jared still possesses the power to excite her as no man has ever done--even as his own reckless heart is taken captive in their blistering war of wits and will--igniting a fire that could consume them both unless they surrender to it with wild abandon in the heat of the tropic night. show less

I love Johanna Lindsey. She always entertains.

When Jared comes to Boston to avenge his mother's death, he didn't plan on the firey, outspoken daughter of his target.
When Corrine went to Hawaii to get revenge on Jared, She didn't expect to fall in love with the island or the man.

Another awesome Lindsey novel.
Typical Lindsey historical. Overblown emotional yarn with great characters. Quick read.
This is not Joanna Lindsey at her best; like the little girl with the curl, when she's good she's very good and when she's bad she's horrid. Here she is merely predictable with rather boring main characters. There is no chemistry and little plot.
Not a keeper.
This is one of my favorite books. It's absolutely fabulous. I've read many books and this book just tops the cake. One of my favorite authors.

Johanna Lindsey was one of the world's most successful romance authors. She has written over 30 books, of which 54 million copies are in print and have been translated into 12 languages. Lindsey was born with the name Johanna Helen Howard on March 10, 1952. As a young wife and mother, Lindsey became a great fan of romance novels and wrote her show more first book, Captive Bride in 1977, on a whim when she was 25. To the young author's great surprise, it made The New York Times Bestsellers list. Lindsey had found a romance formula that worked. Take any setting past or present, introduce a rascally rakish male and a romantic heroine, let their hearts ignite with passion, lust, and love. Lindsey has something of a cult following, following such titles as "Heart of Thunder", "Hearts Aflame", "A Heart So Wild", and ''Keeper of the Heart". She has loyal fans reading "Glorious Angel" and "Gentle Rogue" and legions of devotees buying her Malory family series. In 2014 her title, Stormy Persuasion, made The New York Times Best Seller List Johanna Lindsey passed away on October 27, 2019 at the age of 67. (Bowker Author Biography) show less
