This funny and unique romance truly captured my heart from the start to the end. To see old characters returning from the previous two books to meeting a few new characters as well...and getting to know some better than ever. It was a wonderful read and truly I hope to possibly see another in the series...though as far as I can tell I believe it is at an end. Thank you for the beautiful series Mrs. Sands.
Listened to audio narrated by Chloe Lynn. I really enjoyed listening to the accents. Blake's a womanizer, the King forces him to honor the betrothal he's been avoiding for years. Seonaid was raised by men and took offense by Blake's refusal to consummate the betrothal over so many years. So when the King sends Blake to force the consummation she flees to a nunnery. Blake comes across and self absorbed and vain. He goes after her, finds her and she runs again. You'd think he would learn but at every opportunity she runs from him. Then they add another chase element, one of the ladies is at the Convent is being hunted, and the ladies all flee together. This seemed absurd as they would have been safer with the men and only put themselves show more at greater risk every time they ran. Once they finally concede and return to Seonaid's home, they find it has been attacked and another tangent storyline. Other couples were being matched up as well. There were just too many stray storylines, they detracted from the main couples story. While some added to the over all story others detracted as if they were part of some other story and was just cut-pasted into this one. show less
really romantic and exciting an funny story, to bad that I didn't get an update about Lord Rolfe and Lady Helen, and you don't get to see if there will be a reconciliation with his best friend, maybe we will get a fourth book ...
