Ah, the heroine hides behind glasses trope. If you took my glasses off I'd be nearly blind, disabled. Thankfully this heroine was wearing plain glass, otherwise it would have been a deal breaker for me.

Miss Lenore Lester has been hiding behind being her father's chatelaine, a job she's been occupying since her mother died. She hides behind glasses and dowdy dresses, organising the house and the people in it so that everything runs smoothly and she has a chance to study. When Jason Montgomery, Duke of Eversleigh visits he's intrigued and interested. She seems to speak to him in ways that he never thought he could understand and after they're married they have to find out how to keep their lives going well. He has to discover how much she show more actually means to him, outside of having his babies.

I liked it. The characters were fun, they kept me reading.

I loved the first half of this book, but the second half dragged a bit as they resolved (or rather the hero worked out) their love for one another. Because of the drag - more a 3.5 rating...
It's okay, he is so dislikeable in his demands for a perfect wife, so selfish and arrogant, you pity the poor girl who will end up with him.
Regency England. There were a lot of reasons that a marriage of convenience would work for Lorena and Jason. But neither bargained on love.
