Back to revisiting the books of my childhood. This one has always been a holiday favorite of mine. Now though, I can see how snotty D.W. really is towards Arthur. Poor Arthur tries his hardest to get Santa a good present and no one appreciates his work. But, although I feel kinda sorry for Arthur, I think Killer got the short end of the stick. Just eyeing his stomach grazing the floor, his eyes downcast, and tongue hanging out sickly....I can only imagine how D.W. managed to get rid of Arthur's cooking. =)
This was a really cute book that brought me straight back to my childhood. I loved watching Arthur as a child, and also owned multiple Arthur picture books. I have always loved the classis sibling relationship between Arthur and D.W., and this book really showcased that. Plus, the illustrations were just as much fun as I remembered, complete with whacky ice cream flavors at the local ice cream shop.
This book is about Arthur trying to find the perfect Christmas gift for Santa. However, he sees Santa all over town doing many things. Arthur tries to combine all the things that Santa likes to make the perfect present. This is a simple, very nice story book for the Christmas season. During the holidays, children look forward to getting presents from Santa, yet I’m sure not many children actually make presents for Santa. This is a great story for broadening children’s imagination and creativity.
Arthur wants to buy a present for Santa. He is worried about Santa really liking his gift. Arthur puts a lot of thought into his gift and decides to make his gift.

Arthur finds Santa eating at different times and sees what he orders. Arthur then goes home and makes all of Santa's favorite.

D.W. decided to fix Arthur's present and on Christmas day a letter is left from Santa.

Very cute story.
This is a great story. It is about Arthur giving to Santa instead of him wanting presents for himself. He decides to give him food because everywhere he went he saw Santa eating different foods. Then DW decides to write Arthur a letter saying that I loved the food, and at the end she says you are so lucky to have a great sister. This is a great cute story because it is about giving and sibling love.
Arthur is trying and trying to figure out what to give Santa for Christmas- he thinks and looks and does all he can, and finally he is inspired to mix all of Santa's favorite foods together. DW has another plan, however, she sneaks down and feeds them all to the dog so Santa won't be scared away, and leaves Arthur a fake thank-you note.

As a huge fan of the television series, I was greatly disappointed at the lazy and sub-par writing of the books. The illustrations are very poorly done as well (especially if you have older editions of the books). Not good. just watch the show; it's on at seven on PBS every morning.
