This is a good reference book, but its strength (exhaustiveness) leads to its weakness: it's so BIG. It can be difficult to manage this book, and it weighs a ton. I bought it because it was available used and therefore less than half the price of a Bescherelle while I'm living overseas, but when I return home, I'm going back to my slim, battered little Bescherelle.
I bought this book for my French studies in college, and don't know what I would have done without it. Now that I am well out of college and don't use my French as often as I once did, I find it even more valuable (when reading French novels- my method of trying to keep my skills in shape).
Extremely well organized and thorough, this book gives a basic definition of each verb and and outline of its common uses and/or variations, and then breaks it down into all tenses and forms. It displays what preposition, if any, should be used. It is the kind of basic, intelligently designed reference book that one would hope for.

This is an essential book to own if you want to learn and speak French. A must-have when my step mother's parents are in town!
This book is an extremely useful reference for anyone studying French. It's easy to search, has the tenses laid out in a logical manner, and displays common words and phrases that use the verb.
Can't actually really say I read this, but I bought it when I was studying French and used it as a reference. Not that I remember much of French. Still have this book though!
I book I can't live without
Extremely useful
