I was disappointed by this book; but then, I thought that I was being unfair. This would be an excellent book for anyone who is interested in 'Carry On' but, has not read any of the history.
It is an excellent starting point or, broad brush view of the series of films. It contains much information that I had discovered by reading the individual biographies of the main players: something that everyone would not have the time, or inclination, to do. I have, therefore, rated it as a book, rather than as its value to me. (
