I first became interested in Mark Strand's poetry from reading his work included in a daily email subscription I receive from The Writer's Almanac Newsletter by Garrison Keillor, of NPR and Prairie Home Companion renown.

See info at link: http://writersalmanac.publicradio.org/stations/

A few of my favorite poems in this collection are, "Courtship," "The Garden," and the pleasantly startling, "Eating Poetry."
