The Perfect Murder

Another Last Stand novel. New hire Jane Burke has been champing at the bit for a case of her own. When all the more seasoned investigators are away, she seizes the opportunity to track down a pair of kidnapped sisters. In the process, she crosses paths with Sebastian Costas, who has spent the last year hunting the presumed-dead murderer of his son and ex-wife.

Once again, it is refreshing to read a suspense novel that does *not* feature a serial killer.

Jane, the wife of a serial killer, is now working for the Last Stand, a victim's charity. In the investigation of another murder, Jane meets Sebastian Costas, who is attempting to track the killer of his ex-wife and son. Sebastian knows the killer he is tracking is in the area, but he doesn't know the name he is using, or exactly where he is located.

Once again Novak keeps you in the story with complex characters, and interesting plot twists. This is not my favorite Novak nook, but it is an interesting read.

I would have given this five stars, but I don’t believe, there needs to be sex in books and especially not unprotected sex...

Needed more depth in characters.
