Had a hard time rating this one. 3-1/2 stars I enjoyed it but parts of it irked me. Maybe it was just too sweet for me. If you're looking for no sex having HPs then this one's for you. She was one of those virgins who made a bit of a big deal out of it. She was awfully sweet though. He seemed alpha ish but was actually pretty beta and didn't go after what he wanted very strongly. At the end he was one of those guys who tries to get the girl to admit their love first. If that's not a beta move I don't know what is. If he'd just said "I love you will you marry me" the whole of the troublesome miscommunications at the end would have been avoided.

Worth a read though. ( )

Book description
Which was worse--the scandal or the pain? Mercy Yeomans was regarded as a paragon of virtue in the tiny village where she'd grown up. Then, one passion-filled night with Croft Latimer had altered her quiet existence irrevocably. Turfed out of her flat, spurned by her friends and rejected by her fiance, Mercy was too ashamed and hurt to think clearly. All she knew was that she had to flee her accusers--even if it meant escaping into the same strong male arms that had given her so much trouble--and so much pleasure....
