A wonderful collection of Ed Brubaker’s highly readable Criminal series. This edition collects Coward, Lawless and The Dead and the Dying in one superbly presented book. The storytelling throughout pulls no punches, like its protagonists it’s hard hitting, and at the same time magnificent. Each separate story follows different characters, all engaging and interesting, each with their own story to tell. And it’s the continuity of the stories and the characters which touch upon each other which raises this series. A wonderful read supported with Sean Phillips relentless art and Val Staples stunning colouring. This edition also contains some extras, including essays and artwork.
